Junior Civitan

NCDE Junior Civitan

As Civitan International’s longest-standing program, Junior Civitan International brings together thousands of middle and high school students across the globe in the name of service. Our hundreds of clubs participate in service projects like school clean-ups, collection drives, awareness campaigns, and volunteer activities at local agencies or in their own schools with their peers who live with an intellectual or developmental disability. In addition to serving their communities, Junior Civitans have an incredible opportunity to grow in their leadership skills by holding officer positions at the club, district, or international level. Being a member in-good-standing opens up a plethora of opportunities to grow in their skillset, meet Junior Civitans from across the globe, receive scholarships, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Find your local club or start one in your school today and join our efforts to make the world a better place! If you are interested in starting a Junior Civitan Club or working with one, please contact our Chairperson.

All In Summit

Hello Friends and Family,

I hope you are doing well. I’m reaching out in hopes that you will consider supporting my fundraising efforts as North Carolina District East’s Junior Civitan Governor. For the past year I have collaborated with Junior Civitans, working to make our world a more equitable, just, and overall better place. My work with Junior Civitans closely aligns with my personal vision for our world as well as the social justice/service work I commit myself to.

This year as Governor, I will be organizing a fundraiser for the Civitan International Research Center, with a fundraising goal of $5,000. The Civitan International Research Center is a clinical and research center for varying disabilities and brain complications affecting 1 in 6 people worldwide. They produce groundbreaking research and develop equitable healthcare plans working to ensure that all individuals affected by these disabilities have accessible resources. As the NCDE Junior Civitan Board we hope to reach our fundraising goal by this winter. In February, I will be attending the All-In Summit which is an international conference bringing together service oriented youth from around the world to learn more about the Civitan International Research Center, as well as action plan ways to sustain our support for the center. I will present our fundraised amount at the All-In Summit.

I appreciate your consideration and have listed the steps to donate below:

  • Please make your donation in the form of a check, payable to Civitan International. All donations must be sent to 8147 Lakista Point Lane, Garner, NC, 27529.
