N Raleigh Collects More than 250 Books

Despite the pandemic, the North Raleigh Civitans have been extremely busy collecting more than 250 books for the library at the Child Development Unit at Duke. After the club members’ efforts to collect the donated books, they inspected, classified, and packed the books for delivery. In general, all of the books are well cared for books in good condition suitable for various groups. The numbers are as follows:

  • Early childhood (probably children being read to–50 books
  • K through 4th grade–75
  • 4th grade through Middle School–67
  • Young Teens–40
  • Other Miscellaneous Ages–20

This brings the total number of donated books to 252! Our club and members are so excited to help during the Covid-19 time with some really nice books with such a great contribution from our community.
