The speaker for the October 16 Greensboro Civitan Club meeting will be Mr. Sam Nall, an undergraduate at the University of Virginia who currently serves as a political affairs intern with the Borgen Project.
The Borgen Project is a U.S. nonprofit that fights global poverty. The organization believes that the wealthiest nation in the world should do more to aid the world’s poorest. It operates by directly lobbying Congress in support of foreign aid legislation. Members also mobilize constituents to contact their Congressional leaders in support of foreign aid.
Mr. Nall will give a short presentation on the history, mission, goals, achievements, and ways to get involved. Plan to join us for an interesting presentation and discussion.
