Cypress Creek, RMH and Clergy Appreciation

In February, Cypress Creek Civitans prepared a Sloppy Joe meal at the Ronald McDonald House in Durham. They also delivered handmade afghans and hats for the children staying there, courtesy of the ladies at Lake Royale. Those attending the meal were Jane Keller, Jim Vargo, Darlene McKenney, Bennie Franklin and Bill McKenney.

They also celebrated Clergy Appreciation in February by honoring Pastor Joe Ferguson from the New Hope Worship Center. Pastor Joe has been in the ministry profession for over 25 years. He and his wife Ronna started church services in their living room in June 1994 and as the congregation grew, they moved the service to another building. In March 2000, they broke ground on their new facility where services are held now. Pastor Joe is a praying pastor and he has a passion for our community.
